Summer's Bounty Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program
Posted June 17, 2008 | Permalink | Share | Category: General Campus Information

The Meadville Market House is pleased to bring you a convenient option for buying local produce. In a CSA, subscribers pay a fee in advance and then receive local fruits and vegetables weekly over a ten-week period. This program will start the week of July 14 and end in mid-September. Each box of produce comes with a newsletter complete with simple-to-prepare recipes. The cost is $40/week for a family of four and $20/week for a two-person subscription. The money goes to a local farm, and the cost helps to subsidize Summer’s Bounty for local senior citizens ($6/week for one). Free delivery is offered for seniors, sponsored by the Market House, SJ Wholesome Foods, and the Davies Family. To subscribe, or for more information, send an email to asjoland@zoominternet.net
